Fifth F-100 class frigate starts trials

The Spanish Navy's fifth F-100 Alvaro de Bazan class frigate, Cristobal Colon, which is currently under construction at Navantia shipyard, was due to start sea trials early in 2012 after a period of dry docking for hull and platform readiness.Currently in the final phase of construction, the frigate will also complete combat system integration functional trials before beginning sea trials in May 2012.
