DDG 51 re-start could be more complicated than first thought

A report produced by the General Accounting Office (GAO) in the US in January has raised a number of questions about the wisdom of the US Navy's decision to restart production of the Arleigh Burke class destroyer (DDG 51).The US Navy is doing so after spending almost US$10 billion in development of the Zumwalt (DDG 1000) class destroyers and almost a decade after it first started building the Arleigh Burkes.
