Small-scale LNG carriers (between approx. 10,000 m~3 and 20,000 m~3 loading capacity), built for regional supply, will be the link between liquefaction plants or re-export terminals and dedicated bunkering locations. A number of small LNG carriers are already in service, and further newbuildings are under construction.
