Navantia to build OPVs for Spanish Navy

On 7 May 2014, the government of Spain announced the acquisition of two new offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) for the Spanish Navy, following on from a series of four such vessels that are already in service, having been built by Navantia between 2006 and 2012. The new OPVs will also be built at Navantia.
