In the second of David Prices three stories on contracts he looks at the commonly used techniques to Analyse Project Delay: As-Planned compared with As-Built Programme Analysis; As-Planned Impacted Analysis; Collapsed As-Built Programme Analysis; Time Impact Analysis and Windows Programme Analysis; Critical and Non-Critical Delays and Validation of Baseline Programme The forensic analysis of delay is important as a tool to ascertain the extension of time due to a builder if delivery of the vessel is late or alternatively the extent of liquidated damages payable to the buyer.
