Generating new ship concepts at Kvaerner Masa-Yards Technology

Although it has only recently ushered-in a new Panamax-optimised generation of cruise vessels through the completion of the 86,000gt Costa Atlantica, Kvaerner Masa-Yards is already looking to achieve still more within the Panama 'gauge' with a new design dubbed the Panamax Nova. In entrusting the development of the Nova concept to the in-house consultancy Kvaerner Masa-Yards Technology (KMYT), the shipbuilder has ensured the continued evolution of cruise ship design within the Panamax category, in parallel to the recent, spectacular advances in the wider-than-Panamax passenger ship category.
