Intermarine: specialist in defence and speed

The recently-acquired patrol boat and defence specialist, Intermarine, has its headquarters in Rodriquez' Sarzana yard. The design and construction of minehunters is currently its core business activity, although it does have a large portfolio of other types of vessels. So far, seven variants of minehunter have been built by Intermarine, for navies all over the world, including Italy, the USA, and Australia. The hulls of these technically sophisticated vessels, made out of a specially developed thick GRP, are constructed with a thick skin, but with no re-enforcement inside. This means that the hulls can flex, and absorb the impact and energy created during a blast. This was a totally new concept at its time of inception.
