Jurong Shipyard in Singapore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, has secured a rig order from Gander Drilling, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sea Dragon Offshore, to complete and deliver a Moss Maritime DP-3 semi-submersible drilling unit with an option for an additional unit.rnThe six-column bare-deck hull, built at the Sevmash shipyard in Russia, arrived at Jurong Shipyard during March 2009 and rnthe Singapore yard is currently proceeding with the construction, outfitting, furnishing, equipping, testing and completion of the baredeck hull. Scheduled for delivery by end 2010, the ultra-deepwater harsh-environment semi-submersible rig has already secured a five-year charter contract with Pemex, Mexico's national oil company. The shipyard's contract value for the first unit is $247.3 million.
