Ferry escape systems replaced to save long term service costs

DBC Marine Safety Systems, the Canada-based Zodiac subsidiary, has supplied two marine evacuation systems for installation aboard a ferry operated by Baja Ferries in Mexico.rnThe Chihuahua Star ferry sails between Mazatlan and La Paz on the Baja Peninsula and its owners decided to replace the existing chutes with Zodiac DBC systems. The ferry owner's decision to fit replacement escape slides was based on calculations of comparative long term ownership costs.
