READY, RESILIENT, & LEADING the WAY

The U.S. Air Force is focusing on next-generation infrastructure, long-term planning and design investments, and readying airmen for the multi-domain operations of the future. The National Defense Strategy demands a lethal, resilient, and rapidly adapting Joint Force that can stand up to challenges from adversaries in every operating domain. For the U.S. Air Force, readiness and lethality is inextricably linked to a unified network of ready and resilient installations. These foundations from which we project global combat power are where we cultivate readiness, and they are critical components of the Air Force's ability to compete, deter, and win in all domains. Beyond their role in power projection, our installations are also home to thousands of airmen, soldiers, sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and their families. Our FY2021 budget request offers the most aggressive package of strategic trades we have made as a service in over two decades to achieve complete alignment with National Defense Strategy and secure U.S. military superiority. Our investments will get Air Force Civil Engineers closer to achieving two desired end states: resilient and right-sized installations; and agile, innovative, and ready airmen engineers.
