An airfield is one of the most vital aspects of an Air Force installation. This critical infrastructure enables airmen to successfully deliver decisive combat support to warfighters night and day. Ensuring the flightline is quickly back to operational status becomes the top priority in the event of a real-world attack. "Marauders" from the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron and Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force engineers from Ahmed Al Jaber AB, Kuwait, participated in training on Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery (RADR) at Ali Al Salem AB, Kuwait. A mobile team from the 435th Construction & Training Squadron, Ramstein AB, Germany, conducted the training, which familiarizes airmen with the equipment and helps them understand the process for airfield recovery. It includes two days of classroom instruction covering the core competencies and procedures, followed by hands-on RADR training and a simulated attack on the airfield on the final day.
