Young Members Speak & Seek

We young professionals in The Society are often told that we are the future of our profession. Well, we agree, and we recognize as well our obligation to prepare ourselves for the awesome responsibilities before us. However, to become fully capable of fulfilling your expectations ― and ours ― we're going to need your help. How you, the veterans of our professions, can help us is the point of this article. The views expressed here belong to SAME Young Members who replied to a recent questionnaire, and also come from conversations with several "old hands" in The Society. Most commented expansively and urgently about the expectations they have of their employers, and the needs that only their employers can fulfill. We need good coaches, good training and equipment and, of course, discipline to realize our ultimate potential.
