THINGS AIN'T WHAT THEY USED TO BE

Marshallers at one UK airport (and possibly all UK airports) are apparently required to reportrncrews (and others) for not wearing fluorescent jackets- although they need not challenge the crews at the time. I suppose this is in case they run somebody over. Nor is it enough to wear them-they must be fastened, and of the right colour. (Orange is for temporary pass holders-didn't you know?) And anyone landing at an RAF airfield recently may have experienced the sensation of the marshaller somehow appearing and then disappearing.
