FEMALE FLYER ROLL CALL

I am inviting all women who fly for a living to send me their full names which I will integrate into a new abstract sculpture made especially for T5. I am an artist who works with 'found objects'. These can be natural or man-made objects, either found or bought, and used because of an intrinsic interest in them. Found objects can be exhibited as works of art in themselves - in which case they are referred to as ready-mades - or they can be modified by the artist and presented as art more or less intact. To describe the visual starting point for Blue Ribbon, I would say: "Imagine an escalator handrail removed from the machinery and twisted. Now picture it in sky blue with a list of women's names written along the length of it."
