Last month, as part of the International Year of Light, the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) came together to celebrate - and illuminate - some of Britain's iconic heritage locations. The Night of Heritage Light on 1 October saw UNESCO World Heritage sites across the country being stunningly illuminated. A total of 10 sites were lit up, with a team of lighting designers starting at William the Conqueror's Tower of London and working their way up and down the country as the natural light faded.
