NEPA Success Stories: Celebrating 40 Years of Transparency and Open Government

ELI has released 13 vignettes of how NEPA helped improve decision-making. The case studies use decisions from federal agencies to show the importance of giving the public a voice. For example, when Los Alamos managers were warned by die Forest Service during an environmental impact assessment to undertake fire reduction measures, the coordinated efforts likely saved die installation when a fire hit the following season.
