Asking what cloud computing is, is Like asking what a 'vehicle' is. Without reference to what one wants to use the vehicle for, the question quickly degenerates into how long is a piece of string? Bottom line is though, all computers have a processor and a method of data input and all data will be on a hard disk or memory stick of some description. Wikipedia says the following about cloud computing: "Users do not download and install applications on their own device or computer; all processing and storage is maintained by the cloud server." This means what it says: for cloud computing to do word processing for example, it's achieved via a web page. The word processor is not on 'my' machine. It's on a machine connected to the internet, in a place most likely full of other machines.
