Airport trials in the UK and France are due to begin next month on a radar system capable of detecting debris on runways in all weather conditions. The Tarsier system, developed by Qinetiq, is to be tested by the British Airports Authority and Aeroports de Paris (ADP) at Southampton and Charles de Gaulle airports.
