EPA agrees to Nov. 30 deadline for 2014, 2015 RFS mandates

Avoiding the distraction of defending against another suit by the oil industry, the Environmental Protection Agency Friday preliminarily agreed to a proposed consent decree under which the agency would accept a November 30 deadline for setting the mandatory volumes of bio­fuel that motor fuel providers must blend with their petroleum products under the 2014 and 2015 Renewable Fuel Standards.
