Arvizu to retire as NREL director, boosted lab’s portfolio, stature

National Renewable Energy Laboratory Director and Chief Executive Dan Arvizu announced Thursday he will retire from his post at the Energy Department lab at the end of September, and also step down as president of the Alliance for Sus­tainable Energy LLC, which manages the Golden, Colo., facility for DOE.
