Larger petrol stations will be required to capture emissions of petrol vapour during vehicle refuelling by 2010, under proposals issued by the Environment Department (DEFRA). Debate on the so-called "Stage Ⅱ" controls has been running for more than a decade - but DEFRA now says that the equipment is likely to save the oil industry money.
