WWF is to publish a report on the progress of its UK Forest Trade Network - a group of companies committed to buying timber from sustainable sources - following criticism of the initiative's lack of transparency. Meanwhile, Greenpeace has criticised Wyevale Garden Centres and Argos for selling garden furniture made from potentially illegal sources. WWF has had considerable success in stimulating demand for products certified to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards through the 95+ Group of companies and other organisations committed to increasing the amount of timber and wood products purchased from certified sustainable sources.
