AI, metrics and drones among regulators’ projects to receive government funds

The government has announced the winners of its latest round of the Regulators’ PioneerFund, aimed at creating a regulatory environment ‘encouraging business innovation andgrowth’. ENDS has compiled a list of projects that could make waves in the environmentalsector. Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) can produce toxins, which accumulate in filter-feeding shellfish and intoxicate humanconsumers. The toxins are heat stable and so can’t be destroyed by freezing and/or cooking. If the regulatorythreshold is breached a full-scale food chain product recall might occur.
