The new year brought significant structural and management changes at Rexam, following the separation of its Beverage Can Europe & Asia division. Two new business units were created at the beverage canmaker: Beverage Can AMEA (Asia, Middle East and Africa) and Beverage Can Europe, with the former headed by Craig Jones.In Europe, where Rexam is the market-leader producing about 40 percent of the 57 billion cans made each year, Iain Per-cival takes the reigns from Tbmas Sjb'lin, who retired as sector director for the combined Europe and Asia division in January, having spent 29 years at the company.And, after less than two months in the job, Percival is clearly excited by the prospects and challenges of his new role.
