It's a great time to be in the canmaking business, because there's a wind of change blowing across a number of sectors that could have significant bearing on our future success. Brand owners in the drinks sector have been trying to promote their sustainability credentials for some time now. In the past year or so, increasing consumer concerns about plastics waste has provided an opportunity to show that canned water has a better carbon footprint. Last year, entrepreneurs such as those behind CanO Water were recognised by our industry with the Can of the Year award.
