In the following, Article 8 refers to the version of Article 8 approved in 1994, and modified in 1999, by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (NCCUSL) and the American Law Institute (ALI), and now in effect in all the states; former Article 8 refers to the former version of Article 8, which was approved by NCCUSL and ALI in 1977.
