The Remos Gx Head-to-head With Two Popular Certified Aircraft

Our trial flight was 374 miles each way from Springdale, Arkasas (KASG) to Houston, Texas (KDWH). Here's how comfort (well, cabin size), efficiency, speed and payload stacks up against a Cessna 172SP and a normally-aspirated Cirrus SR22. The num-rnbers show the vulnerability of low-speed/small-fuel-tank aircraft to headwinds. Fifteen knots on the nose increases the flight time by 15 percent for Remos (vs only 10 percent for the Cirrus) and requiresrna fuel stop (and probably a potty break).
