The easiest way to save water is to use less. A shower consumes less water than the average bath, but any saving depends on how long you run the water for and whether you're addicted to a power shower. Even if you are, help is at hand. A batch of water-saving showerheads has appeared on the market, largely in response to the stringent water requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes. The flow rates of these shower-heads are considerably lower than the Bathroom Manufacturers Association's water efficiency rate of 13 litres/minute.
