摘要

As an architect who lost a job to design a dentist's practice because the dentist didn't want to pay a decent fee, I found Christine Murray's recent Leader (AJ 09.09.10) resonant. However, I think she is entirely wrong to suggest that, because there is an element of the artistic in what we do, there is not also an element of'it costs what it costs' as she correctly says applies to dentists.
