Parabola Arts Centre is a school theatre with a difference. The school is located in the heart of Cheltenham, where its solemn neo-gothic halls jostle with the resplendent classical villas of the regency spa town. This is territory ruled by conservation officers and English Heritage, so fitting in a new 325-theatre, whether by conversion or new-build, was never going to be easy.
