Glas sails in to south London with ￡25 million Buxton Homes scheme

Glas has completed this ￡25 million, 164-flat mixed-use scheme in South Bridge Road, south London. The 17,500m~2 project for Buxton Homes, which includes 62 affordable homes and 2,200m~2 of commercial space, is clad in brushed, anodised-aluminium panels in recognition of the area's industrial and boatbuilding past. Glas director Nazar Sayigh said: 'We weren't shy of the borough's industrial and shipbuilding heritage [and] the finished building bears some resemblance to a large ship docked on the site.'
