The shortlist for this year's retrofit Oscars, the 3R Awards, has been announced. More than 50 schemes were selected by the judges across 13 categories in the annual awards, which are supported by the AJ and its sister titles New Civil Engineer and Construction News. Runcorn and London-based Ellis Williams Architects scooped an impressive three nominations, with its Mostyn Gallery, Llandudno (pictured) shortlisted in the best cultural building category, Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School in Northampton nominated for best listed building or structure, and Southampton City College named in the higher education category.
