The special general meeting (SGM) of the Architectural Association held last week was a curious occasion, but a discussion about power relationships within any organisation has its interest, and so it proved. The dramatic potential of the meeting was provided by a motion that the AA Council, an elected body, had lost the confidence of the association, which comprises students, staff and external members, many of whom are alumni.
