The Small Projects shortlist (AJ 27.01.11 and AJ 03.02.11) has revealed a plethora of innovative new design, produced for under £250,000. However, Astragal has always believed in the spirit of the law as well as the letter, and has cherry-picked the projects entered that were very, well, small Toby Young was wise to arrive at a discussion hosted by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios on a bike. Prepped for a quick getaway, the journalist provoked loud laughter when he described the reaction to his inflammatory remarks on the relevance of architecture to education standards last year as 'a tsunami'. Young's scathing attack on the profession prompted critic Jonathan Glancey - who had been invited to speak after Young - to suggest that the architect-filled audience might as well go home. But Glancey then led a cavalry charge against Young.
