Ah, the gaping PR pitfall that is International Women's Day. How many have fallen, trying to think up a way of marking the annual 8 March celebration of women's achievements. Last year, the RIBA hurriedly cancelled the cookery classes it had planned to mark the day after more than 50 architects told them it was 'retrograde'. This year, the UK's second biggest practice BDP has really pushed the boat out with a Women In Construction event, chaired by Women of the World Festival founder Jude Kelly.
