UK firms win Moscow bid

A team including John Thompson £s? Partners, Gillespies and Buro Happold has beaten a raft of big names in the ideas contest to double the size of Moscow. Part of the victorious Capital Cities Planning Group, which also includes Urban Design Associates (USA), Beasley 8c Associates (Canada) and Nelson/Nigaard (USA), the practices won the main prize for a federal district within the wider expansion plan.
