Where have you come from? McKenzie was a director at Alison Brooks Architects (ABA), where he worked for seven years. He was project architect for Accordia in Cambridge, winner of the 2008 Stirling Prize, and for the Folkestone Quarterhouse performing arts centre, which won an RIBA award. Bate was also at ABA and Grimshaw. What work do you have? Like many architects, we began our careers working on domestic projects. To a certain extent this builds an expertise in residential architecture, which was the focus of work at ABA.
