The letter of the week's author will receive an AJ mug. Letters should be received by 10am on the Monday before publication. The AJ reserves the right to edit letters. The Architects For Yes group is just trying to get some sort of phoney bandwagon rolling ('Architects For Yes rally to push the case for an independent Scotland', AJ 29.08.14). The reality is that 99 per cent of what the government does in the field of architecture is already devolved: schools, health buildings, higher education, planning, Building Regulations, Architecture and Design Scotland and, of course, procurement. It's all been devolved for 15 years, so independence wouldn't make much difference.
