St John's Square, Seaham

Part of the St John's Square redevelopment, this four-storey office building houses a public library and offices for Durham County Council. The building has a steel frame which supports composite metal decking and concrete floor slabs. It is divided by a full height glazed atrium which promotes natural ventilation and allows natural light into the core of the building.
