PaperBridge, Grisedale Valley, Cumbria

Sited in the Grisedale Valley, Cumbria, PaperBridge was a temporary installation open to the public for 10 days in May this year. The bright red structure deliberately clashed with the green-brown of the valley in a location chosen for its balance between the mountain and flowing beck. Besides the artistic intent behind the work, it served a practical purpose, linking two footpaths travelling up both sides of the valley.
