Architect's view

摘要

The site is on the edge of a recreation ground with a number of mature trees. We wanted to retain the trees and they have played an important role in the massing with our aim to create a landmark recognisable to young people that is also sensitive to the natural feel of the site. The Youth Zone is positioned between the trees and its sculpted volume rises up at openings among them, giving it presence and views out. Landscaped areas have been created, including an outdoor recreation area and small football pitch located away from the busy road, as well as planting of meadow grass, enhancing biodiversity.
