Jute is widely accepted as a sack or gunny bag material in the dornestic as well as international market. But due to the adoption of synthetic/HDPE", packing material in the world wide markets & its positive acceptance, tile jute product output received a setback. Indian Jute Industry produces jute yarn in the range 1000- 150 tex ( I Nrn-7Nrn). The Spinning of fine count of jute yarn was not possible on conventional jute system. The reason behind the nonavailability of finer count jute yarn is the inherent properties of jute fibres and when jute is processed and converted into yarn it faces further difficulties. Though being a natural fibre it was not used for apparel and other purposes because of its harshness, low tenacity, shredding of fibres in the fabric and itching feel to human body. It is also very much difficult to retain its shape or the fabric structure in various jute products.
