Mr Tom Johnstonne, SKF Group President and SKF India Managing Director, Mr Rakesh Makhija, spoke to Mr Raju Chandran and Mr Viswanath Chandran of Textile India Progress, when they visited the Pune factory of SKF India Ltd, on the occassion of the inauguration of SKF India Ltd's Solutions Factory. SKF is represented in more than 130 countries and has 15,000 distributorrnlocations worldwide. The Group's annual sales of the year 2008 were SEK 63,361 million. The number of employees was 44,799. In India, the SKF Group started trading operations in Kolkata in 1923 and since then the Group's operations have been consolidated into SKF India Ltd.
