The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) bagged a number of awards at the Eureka 2007 held in Brussels, Belgium, on November 22-25. They include six medals - four gold, one silver and one bronze - and three Special Prizes. PolyU's vice president for Partnership Development, Dr Lui Sun-wing, says that in addition to the awards two researchers - Prof. Tao Xiao-ming, head of the Institute of Textile and Clothing; and Prof. Joanne Chung of the School of Nursing - have received Brussels mayor's Invention Awards.
