Dan Schmitz, who is currently in charge of the marketing department of the German company, Schmitz-Werke based in Emsdetten has been appointed a member of its executive board effective July 1. The 26-year-old Dan Schmitz is the son of the company's president Justus Schmitz. He has been employed with Schmitz-Werke GmbH + Co. KG in Emsdetten since 2005. "As a sales-oriented company this is a major step in the course of the generational change. I am very excited and am looking forward to working with the sales managers of our three brands markilux, swela and drapilux", says Dan Schmitz. He already has been leading the marketing department for two years and has founded and managed the international business development department to increase the international level of awareness of their brand markilux. Schmitz Junior will also continue to be responsible for the business units awnings, outdoor-fabrics and decorative fabrics but primarily for the coordination of the sales and marketing departments.
