Last October, Tamir Giloh, the president and CEO of Tamicare (Manchester, England) presented Cosyflex, a new technology applying 3D printing techniques to the construction of fabrics at the RISE conference in Denver, Colorado (USA). The technology implements an innovative proprietary process of layering liquid polymers and loose textile fibres in almost unlimited combinations. This is analogous to 3D printing, where three-dimensional objects are constructed by applying substrates under digital control in a two-dimensional field in successive layers to create a third dimension.
