摘要

FCC Commissioner Michael J. Copps has said the quickest and "cleanest" way for the Commission to address the recent Comcast Corp. v. FCC court decision, which puts in question the agency's jurisdiction over broadband services, would be to classify such services as Communications Act Title II (common carrier) offerings.rnIn an interview that aired the weekend of May 1 on C-SPAN's The Communicators, Commissioner Copps said the FCC's authority has been diminished "by the horrendous policy decisions we made in 2002 and 2005," promoting a "light-touch" regulatory policy that classified broadband services as "information services" under Title I of the Act.
