The new Congress has brought a range of changes to the leadership and membership of committees involved in telecommunications issues, as well as some initial discussion of planned committee agendas. Rep. Anna G. Eshoo (D., Calif.) has been elected ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee's communications and technology subcommittee-the first woman to serve in a leadership role on the subcommittee.
