Issa Calls for Public Release Of Latest Text in TPP Talks

Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) has criticized the "closed-door negotiations" surrounding the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement and called on U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk to release publicly the latest text that U.S. negotiators are seeking to include in the agreement. Rep. Issa also called for public comment on the terms of a leaked February 2011 draft of the intellectual property (IP) rights chapter of the agreement.
