Sprint Opts Not to Bid In FCC's H-Block Auction

Sprint Corp. has decided not to participate in the FCC's H-block auction, saying that it wants to focus instead on acquiring low-band spectrum.Sprint Chief Financial Officer Joe Euteneuer confirmed the carrier's plans during a Nov. 13 appearance at the Wells Fargo 2013 Technology, Media & Telecom Conference.Sprint had been expected to be an aggressive bidder in the H-block sale, which is scheduled to start Jan. 22, due to its adjacent G-block spectrum in the 1.9 gigahertz band. The H-block spectrum is at 1915-1920 megahertz and 1995-2000 MHz.
